Discover the many secrets on offer at La Roche-sur-Yon following in the footsteps of Napoleon! Historic places, stories, and mechanical animals all lie in store.
This app provides information about the places and monuments which are worth a visit during your stay in the area and has videos, texts, sound bites, a quiz, geolocation and useful information all at hand.
It is presented in the form of a walking route over 13 stages through the centre of La Roche-sur-Yon, the capital of the Vendée (85), which will lead you in the footsteps of the founder, Napoleon. The route entitled "In the footsteps of Napoleon" retraces the history of the town from the Middle Ages to present day. You can relive the birth and construction of this new town as decreed by the Emperor in 1804.
